Increase output window size

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me?
Is there any way the output box size can be increased?
Due to either a long filename or errors (as shown below), I have to scroll down every output box to check the quality.
I expected to be able to go to the corner and increase the box size but, that doesn't seem to work...
Might not sound a big deal but when you have 50+ files, it's a pain.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. TY.

That dialog is suppose to be resizable. I'm not sure what happened or how that got disabled. I'll fix it

The window always seems to be a few lines too short for me, so I wouldn't want to resize it every time it pops up. I suggest a persistent resize or a permanent enlargement would be good.

This was my first request ever for help from VideoReDo - and it will be my last.
Just makes me wonder what's the point in posting here in the first place - if you're going to forget.
Not the normal, professional behaviour i'd expect from a developer. And "got busy on another project " speaks volumes on various levels.
Nice to know we're a priority...not. Guess i'll have to wait another month.

Hello esclad,
surely it's not nice that it hasn't been fixed now. But the new version is a beta version and all the users here help to find errors and try to improve the program. Perhaps the world will not end immediately with this unfulfilled wish for a window that can be changed in size. In this place the programmers at least look at the points and answer many (sometimes strange ;)) questions. Elsewhere there would be not even a reaction in most of the times. And if there are serious problems you can be sure that you will even get sometimes your own alpha-version to test.
By the way: thanks to the staff, that is certainly not just waiting for something to be done for VRD6 ;).

Regards and it maybe helpful to cool down a little bit :coffee:;)

Thank you for your sarcastic reply - I know the world won't end immediately.
It just begs the question - what was the point in posting in the first place?
Taking the time to report it, investing time daily on keep checking for the update (for a month) - all to be told you've been ignored!

Please close this thread. I have nothing more to say and I'm done.

I'm sorry that your minor UI change wasn't top priority but I just said "I'll fix it". Which I will. Eventually.

Hi esclad,
I’m guessing you were tired or under pressure when you took to your keyboard. That happens to all of us. In the cold light of a new day, you will doubtless take a closer look at Winnepup’s words and Dan203’s remarks, and see VRD in a better light.

As a retired software developer myself, I recognise the signs of professionalism in VRD’s design and coding, not to mention their ability to prioritise the many tasks large and small that must be constantly on their job list.

My own experiences with VRD have always been good.
- If I report an urgent bug, it gets tackled immediately.
- If I ask for help or explanation about something, answers are forthcoming from the developers, and/or from other users via this forum.
- If I suggest an improvement, I may find the VRD guys were already contemplating it and it will happen anyway in the fullness of time. If it’s not feasible, the VRD guys will tell me why. And if it’s met with stony silence from the other users in this forum, I can guess my suggestion wasn’t as valuable as I thought: oh well!

We are indeed fortunate to have an excellent software product whose developers not only listen to our feedback but also take the trouble to openly discuss it with us and continually improve the software!

Beta versions are distributed for the sole purpose of letting we privileged devotees test them, review them and discuss them, thereby contributing to the ongoing improvement of the product we all love.

I hope you will take a deep breath and begin a new day with the knowledge that you too are privileged to try out beta’s and contribute to the discussion.
Regards,

Yeah, I am a retired IT person as well. Spiralled through many of its disciplines along the way :) which was both nice and generally fun ... apart from dealing with the occasional career-oriented dhead up the tree and some people who operated on emotional need. Outlasting others has something to be said for it :)

Having tried almost all "response modes", I found that although "demanding" may occasionally make oneself feel better in the short term if one had a bad day, the cost/benefit ratio inevitably ended up being poor and one then had to deal with issues arising. "Work the issues" always yielded better results.

Particularly in management roles, I *always* got back more than I gave when being a tad kind, a "cast the bread upon the waters" type of thing if you will.

Just a thought, esclad.

Still not fixed in latest update yesterday... approaching 2 months since my original post.

Look, I love your software but I can't help but be dumbfounded/offended at how down the pecking order customer's interests or requests are.
TBH, I'm shocked you don't have a list of items next to you right now; of what changes need to be made - so you don't forget. That would be common sense to me but that's obviously not what you do.
Very revealing for someone selling their software on the internet.
It's such a laid-back, blase, whatever attitude. I've never experienced that in any forum, anywhere else, in my 20 years of using the internet.
I was nothing but polite, courteous and got nothing. And as I said, I;ll not ask for another thing. Completely pointless.
I'll just sit, wait, hope, pray that the change comes... eventually, but I ain't holding my breath.
What a shoddy setup.

Deary me. Insults over what is essentially a trivial UI issue in the scheme of what the product actually can and does do well.

I have a MUCH more important thing (than a trivial UI issue) on the "await list" - eg QSF not working as expected thus not being able to process some recorded files in V6 - and am patiently awaiting it to be addressed.

Come on mate- look up, admire the view, and pull yourself together.
