Missing or corrupt MPEGEncoderDLL.dll

Hi,

I've been running VideoReDo Plus v2-5-6-512 for a quite a long time without problems (apart from the occasional hang), but decided to upgrade to
3-10-3-609b, just to stay current.

Trouble is after the install, I get an error dialog box popping up that says:
Can't find import: DLL may be missing, corrupt or wrong version
File "MPEGEncoderDLL.dll", error 5'

Not sure if this comes from Windows or VideoReDo.

This file does exist in the VideoReDo installation directory.

I'm running Windows XP, service pack 2.

I re-installed v2-5-6-512 again, which work fine.

I'd be happy to keep using it, except that I've now paid for 3-10-3-609b ...

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ian.

It's not.
I disable AVG.
I check by pressing Ctrl & Alt & del that there is no proccess of AVG.
I Install it and still have the same error.

The only way is to do the following...

Double click on the AVG icon in system tray
Double click 'Resident Shield'
Click 'Manage exceptions'
Click 'Add path'
Select the path to VRD (C:\Program Files\VideoReDoTVSuite4)
Click 'OK'

AVG runs as admin, so unless you check the box/click the button that says "Show processes from all users" you wont be able to see it. (that option might not even be available if you're running under an limited user account)

AVG was the cuprit

Thank to everyone that replied - AVG was to blame.
Works fine now that I've added the VideoReDo directory to the exclusions list.

AVG Vault

The other trick I just discovered after re-booting, is that the AVG put the dll into the virus vault, even though the directory it was in was on the exclusion list...

Gotta hassle AVG over that one...
