Muting audio in saved file

How can I mute the audio in a saved edited file? I've adjusted audio before but something has changed. I'm using TVsuite 4 Rel 646a. I open the Tools>Adjust Audio and move the volume slider all the way to the left (-96 dB) and then click Close. The audio graph indicates that the audio is gone for the entire edit session but when I Save it and re-load the "edited" file, the audio is right back! What am I doing wrong?

I played around and discovered that if I cut just one frame and Saved it the audio was properly muted in the edited clip. Strange, but I can live with that. It SEEMS to be somewhat erratic, though, because, in the past, I THINK it has worked properly without doing that. I forgot to mention in my original post that I was trying to remux the entire video without any cuts defined. VRD indicated that an Audio Recode was required but it didn't seem to have happened.

In Adjust audio, after moving the slider to the left make sure you are selecting Close and not Reset.
