Saving video from zoom mp4s hangs

Im trying to break a series of recorded zoom calls into segments and find that my attempts to save the segments ends up only getting part way done and then stops saving. The "working" image on the left side changes to a warning image and all I can do is hit Abort. The calls are saved in .mp4 with the first video stream at 1776x900 at 25FPS using AVC High@L5 and audio is 1 channel AAC at 32khz. Quickstream fix also hangs. Im using version

That's likely an error in the source file causing the stall. Try running the file through QuickStream Fix first, then edit the fixed file.

Can you open the file in MediaInfo and post the info here? Just want to see if there is anything obvious

That should be fine. 11 reference frames is a lot but that should have no effect on QSF. Might be a problem for editing though.

If you are willing to send a sample so I can test then send me an email at support AT

If you want to keep testing yourself there are two things I would try...

1) Try recoding the audio and setting the sampling rate to 48kHz. Some times 32kHz can cause issues because it's sample size is fractional and causes weird little jumps in the time codes.

2) If that doesn't work try forcing a recode on the entire video. You can still edit first, but when saving set the profile to Force Recode. Also set the audio to recode to 48kHz for this one as well.

Let me know how both tests go.

We're having trouble with this stuff in Vegas, too.
The specs are so low (1400 Kbps, 50 Kbps audio) that it hardly seems worth it for editing.
