What I tend to need is...

1. voice on 1 channel and music on second channel, Delete music and have 2 channel stereo voice.

2. 6 channel audio with 3 channels of laugh track. Delete 3 laugh tracks and have L, center voice, and R output. Saves GBs of space(Big Bang Theory).

3. audio adjust/mute for each channel. Had hopes that the VRD_Pro I bought would do this but no luck.

Pro does do that. But you have to dive into the advanced audio section which can be a bit intimidating.

What you want to do is create an output stream with a mix of the channels you want. Like for the first scenario create a 2 channel stream and use the voice channel for both to create a stereo stream. Or for the second you can either create a 3ch stream with just what you want or mix the L/R channels to RL/RR so that you still have 5.1.

The audio mixing in pro is pretty much infinitely flexible
