V.5 and v.6 Frame size changes when copying

I have an mp4 file that has an unusual frame size 856x480 (16:9) where it should be 854x480. I need to do frame accurate editing in this video and I do not want to convert it. Both V.5 and v.6 editions change the frame size to 864x480 (18:1) which is much further away from what it should be. All of my other video editing programs confirm the source to be 856x480, however, V.5 and V.6 indicate that the resolution of the source file is 864x480 which it is clearly not. Is there any way I can force the copy from VRD to not change the frame size when just copying?

Thanks!

I should probably be a bit clearer. Videoredo seems to change the frame size on the copied video even though the video is clearly not being re-encoded, simply copied rapidly. VRD seems to be editing the video header information (or misreading the actual video frame size).

I have found a workaround that I wish I didn't need to do! I used AVIdemux to convert the .mp4 to .mkv (no re-encoding). Then I used MKVtoolnix to change the header info back to 856 x 480, saved and noted that the header is now correct in other programs. Then converted back to .mp4 using AVIdemux. Is there a header information editor that can do this directly with .mp4 files?
