V6 key for V5?

Hello,

I like V5 more than V6, at least for my use.

If I install V5 on new PCs, is it possible to activate it with V6-keys?

You need to contact the DEVs at support with an email.

As far as I remember they do not discuss "keys" on the open forums.

Did you buy v5? If so then send us an email and we can look up the key.

If you only bought v6 then no, you can’t use v5.

What exactly do you like better about v5?

I bought Videoredo Plus, then Update to TV Suite 4 and updated first to V5 and later to V6.

If I do a cut and save it directly as Video the V5 is easier an faster to handle because I immediately gets the Save-dialog while V6 I see this big dialog need to "Select File" before I can save.

It sounds maybe lazy but if I do it often this "Select File"-dialog instead of saving it directly is laborious

Maybe it comes down to personal preferences. For me, V6's Save dialog adds a very convenient feature: I can either quickly choose a particular target save directory, or simply default to the source folder. Not so easy in V5's dialog which defaults to the PC's Documents folder.

The V5 remember the last used directory, that´s OK for me. V6 did AFAIR the same, but this additional dialog is not needed IMHO.

Go to the Tools>Options>General and check the box that says "On save auto open select file". That will save you a button press and might make the transition a bit easier.
