I currently have a 7th generation Intel chip (i7-7700) and this is recognised by VRD for QSV use.
I seem to recall that the process for recognising that a CPU is QSV eligible is not straightforward and upgrading to, say, a 13th generation chip may be a problem.
Given that any tweaking of VRD is no longer possible am I in danger of losing QSV if I take the upgrade path?
