Why didn't I get updated?

I have VideoReDo Plus and every time I use it I check for updates. It always says "Your version of Video ReDo is Current". But that's obviously not the case because the date on my version indicates it's from Nov 16,2010. Why hasn't it been updating itself as newer versions were released?

I would suggest installing the latest release.

Just thought of a question. Do I have to UNINSTALL my old version before installing the 629d version?

You can install over the previous version. You don't normally need to uninstall.

I have in a similar vein installed windows 8.1 and receive the error message when trying to update error Is this an incompatibility problem cannot resolve connection to server" internet is alive and active with Outlook and Explorer

your spam filter or firewall in 8.1 may be blocking.

try manually updating to the latest release and try check for updates to see if the issue persists
